Lacey and Kurt have been together for 4 years, and had such a wonderful wedding day surrounded by all their friends and family! The Historic Post Office is right in their home town of Hampton Roads, and was such an elegant choice for their day. We love getting to shoot there, and actually will be back there tomorrow for a video day!
I have been so excited to share Vince and Danielle’s day on the blog! I had the hardest time narrowing down just a handful from each part of their whole day. There were just soooo many special moments through out that day. Tears were shed quite a few times from everyone. They started when Danielle read her card from Vince. His words started off all the emotions that the day held for them. The 8 years together led to this moment.
One thing I LOVE that Hunter does when he puts together wedding films is how he tells the story of the day. From the beginning of getting ready all the way through to the last moment of the evening . Our couples get to watch back so many amazing moments. On a wedding day there is so much going on there is no way a bride and groom could remember them all. When they choose to have a film they don’t just see a still image they can actually go back and feel the emotions of the moments that were shared.
I had the best time with Cidnye and Joe touring around a few fun spots in Richmond! Cidnye had so many great ideas of places she loved in the area. Shockoe Bottom is where the railroad track is, and It was literally the perfect day to get these for them.
Sarah and Ryan had the most gorgeous mountain view wedding! Stover Hall is such beautiful rustic venue right in the heart of Luray, Va. The backdrop of the mountains for the Ceremony is so pretty, and the Reception hall is adorned with several stunning chandeliers that compliment the large windows showing the mountains as a backdrop!
I have always loved the Dogwood flower. It absolutely amazed me when I heard the story of its significance a few years ago. Today on Easter Sunday I wanted to take time to share the story for others to read incase you didn’t know the beauty that this amazing flower holds.
What an outstanding couple to begin our 2019 Wedding Season with! Nick and Chalsy had their dream wedding surrounded by all their loved ones on March 30th. Truly their whole day was just perfect from start to finish. The weather was with not a raindrop in site. Each moment fell perfectly into place, and it was such an amazing day.
I love it when I get the chance to do Bridal Portraits for our brides before their big day. It is the perfect opportunity for them to get hair/makeup done, and make sure everything is how they vision it to be on their wedding. Chalsy looked positively STUNNING in her wedding dress!
Champagne popping and lots of laughter filled Erika and Dom’s wedding day! Right from the start of the day I just loved everyones happiness for these two tying the knot. You can see just how much FUN these guys were having by their photos getting ready photos!
“These are absolutely incredible!! You have no idea how thankful we were to have y’all apart of this whole engagement to wedding experience! I can’t tell you how many people out of our bridal party/family raved about y’all as well!! They all said how awesome y’all were and how quickly you got us rolled through photos! Seriously, these are absolutely amazing! Y’all are the best!! Not only are the pictures themselves amazing but working with y’all and the quick turn around on all of our photos has been insane! We truly couldn’t be any happier!! Everything was captured perfectly!”
This has quickly become one of the favorite blog posts we do each year! Looking back at so many wedding days, and laughing continually at Hunter's dance moves ( with camera in hand ) LOL! There is even one shot of him dancing with camera and video light in hand! He always makes me smile!
What a GORGEOUS wedding day Kelsey and Derek had at Bandit's Ridge! The prettiest pastels for details and florals. It was such a beautiful and unique venue. The inside reception spot with the light colored wood photographed so classic and nice. The outside little barn area where the horses stalls were was decorated so pretty, and made for a dazzling backdrop of lights for portraits! Not to mention the kindest vendors to work with at the facility. It was such a nice wedding day!
There were SO many incredible moments through out this whole day. Several times where I was definitely moved to tears. Justine’s mom had recently passed away, and they did such a beautiful job honoring her through out the entire day. Her bouquet had a locket on it of her mother and grandmother. There was also a chair dedicated to her at the Ceremony. Justine also held her mother’s wedding photo for some photos with her same hat she wore. That is early in the film.
We were beyond blessed to capture these special memories for Justine and Matt! Make sure to not miss the end of the film during the daddy/daughter dance! I don’t think there was a dry eye in the place! Oh and YES everyone agrees Matt looks just like Vin Diesel haha!!!
This Saturday was so special! I had the sweetest baby shower for our little girl. HUGE thank you to everyone who helped make my shower so perfect. Still can't believe we are having a precious baby girl soon!
After yesterday’s rainy weather I knew just what beautiful sunny wedding day I wanted to share on the blog today!
Katie and Dan’s day at Half Moon in Norfolk was just that! The sun was certainly shinning, and warm all day…. But if you take a look at their photos you will quickly see that their smiles and laughter was just the same.
Taryn and Taylor met through their love for Baseball so Taylor had the perfect proposal planned! In 2016 they went to a Braves/Cardinals game, and that was where they first said “ I love you. “ So a year later they got tickets to go to the Friday night contest with postgame fireworks. Taylor had the ring in his back pocket for most of the afternoon, and hid it well Taryn said. When they arrived at the gates before they opened he asked to get a picture taken in front of the stadium sign. So Taryn’s dad took the picture as Taylor got down on one knee! Of course Taryn said “YES!!!”
Seriously Erika you are stunningggg! I had such a wonderful time taking these bridals for you at The Obici House. I truly don't think this blog needs many words. It is all about this beautiful bride, and her portraits before her big day!
Taylor and Tyler have been together for three years, and met through friends. They quickly knew that this was it. Tyler proposed in Charleston, SC after the two took a romantic horse and carriage ride. Tyler had someone take a photo of them in front of the Pineapple Fountain where he got down on one knee. Taylor said it was the perfect evening!
Well... I don't even know where to start as I begin typing this blog post. Hunter surprised me with the most selfless and sweetest gift for our 10 year anniversary on Friday afternoon. He secretly planned a 10 Year Vow Renewal and Anniversary party. I HAD NO IDEA! Like completely blown away... if you can't tell by my face in the pictures. I mean I was seriously uglyyy crying ha ha. He told me all week to be dressed, and ready to go somewhere at 6:45 PM on Friday for our anniversary. That was all I knew. I figured we were going out for a nice dinner or something. I was wrong - lol.
Each Engagement Session is different, and our couples always have their own ideas that they want to incorporate. When I started going over the details with Amanda she began sharing some really neat ideas that they were hoping to include in their photos. So we began to plan the best location, and prop ideas for their photos.
It has been such an incredible wedding season with so many amazing couples! I always say our brides and grooms are absolutely the best. They are so kind, joyful, and completely head over heels in LOVE with their grooms.
